Chaos Lore

From the beginning of time, you mortals have done nothing but seek control.

You build fortresses of marble, steel, and thoughts to protect yourselves, devising a thousand clever plans to escape the unknown. But don’t exhaust yourselves: it’s a game you’ll never win. The unexpected will always upend your lives, making them better, worse, or simply weirder.

Here, it’s not about finding meaning, but about enjoying the journey, fast and wild, hoping that the Gods, fickle as ever, show us a bit of empathy.

Learn to ride the storm, navigate by sight, and be ready to change course in the blink of an eye.

One thing’s for sure: around here, you’ll never get bored.

Terrifying creatures hide in the Blackness (spades), that primordial void that envelops the universe, dotted with countless tiny colored stars, completely unable to illuminate the immensity of the night. Those corrupted by Order are exiled here.

The Emerged Lands (Clubs), full of lush forests and towering mountains, are inhabited by myriad absurd beings, who are always engaged in an eternal war. Betrayals and changes of sides are the order of the day, so much so that no one even remembers why they keep fighting. But is a reason really needed?

The Depths (Hearts) are an endless underwater world, filled with violent currents and strange forms of life—with a rather peculiar concept of friendship. It’s like an extravagant bacchanal with crazy creatures. Just sometimes, someone gets eaten.

And then there’s Tartarus (Diamonds), the hottest place. Sure, a tan is guaranteed, but it’s not exactly the ideal spot for a vacation. However, if you think the infernal fire is the worst this place has to offer, you’re mistaken. The real torment here is the bureaucracy. The rules seem like they were set by a blindfolded monkey throwing darts—and maybe they were.

In the realm of Chaos, everyone worships their preferred deity, but they all agree on one thing: at the highest point of Olympus, ruling over everything and everyone, is always and only him: the Cat.

Our devil is a beautiful Goddess with OCD. She hates disorder and randomness, and everyone dislikes her. Sometimes, people get tempted by her to repudiate the freedom, adventure and surprise granted by Chaos.

There are other divine beings in the Chaos Realm—some benevolent. Others, not.
